The Chronicles of Essington

The Book of Derek

The Book of Derek

1. These be the words which Derek spake unto all Essington on this side Wolverhampton in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Black Country, between Walsall, Willenhall, Cannock and Pattingham.

2. On this side Essington, in the land of Clifft, began Derek to declare this law, saying,

3. Thou shalt attend the Minerva Inn On Sunday nights in the company of Alan, Andrew and Jammer.

4. Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Westcroft, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Wulfrunians, and unto Walsall, unto the great river, the river Severn.
